The final installment of the controversial Ilsa saga finds the former accomplice of Nazis, Stalinists, and oil barons now operating a psychiatric clinic in an unnamed Latin American country, where political prisoners are tortured. A young woman (Tania Busselier) has herself committed in order to locate her captive sister, but quickly realizes she has entered a hell of sexploitation from which she cannot escape. Dyanne Thorne plays Ilsa to camp excess but it is the ingenue, Lina Romay (Female Vampire), who steals the show as Ilsa’s pet prisoner, a woman who withstands Ilsa’s abuse and manipulates her fellow prisoners, doing anything to stay alive long enough to turn the tables on cinema’s most diabolical villainess.

Typisch Franco...

Die drei «offiziellen» Ilsa-Filme ILSA, SHE WOLF OF THE SS (1974), ILSA, HAREM KEEPER OF THE OIL SHEIKS (1976) und ILSA, TIGRESS OF SIBERIA (1977) haben mir alle recht gut gefallen. Der 1. Teil ist definitiv am blutigsten. Der 3. Teil ist leider nicht so gut erhältlich... Jess Franco drehte diesen «inoffiziellen» (4.) Teil im gleichen Jahr wie Jean LaFleur den dritten. Und wer andere Filme von Jess Franco kennt, ja, der ahnt bestimmt, dass dieser mit Abstand der schlechteste ist...

Jess Franco brachte und bringt es einfach nicht fertig, einen halbwegs anständigen Film zu realisieren. Dieser innoffizielle Ilsa - Teil ist schlecht und dilettantisch wie von Franco gewohnt, kein Vergleich mit den ersten beiden Teilen von Don Edmonds.

Die DVD ist zwar von der Qualität her gut, aber der Film ist extrem langweilig, nichts brutales mehr wie in Teil 1 oder 2, schade.
Liegt daran, dass es sich hierbei eigentlich um einen inoffiziellen Ilsa Teil von Jess Franco handelt.
Finger weg.
