Abgesehen vom fürchterlich pathetischen (und fantasielosen) Soundtrack von Hans Zimmer ist an Planet Earth II alles genial. Die Themen und Orte sind gut gewählt, die Bilder überwältigend schön gefilmt und die Kommentare (unbedingt Originalton hören!) sind von auserlesenem britischem Understatement. David Attenborough ist einer der begabtesten und engagiertesten Natur- und Wissenschaftsvermittler, seine Kommentare allein sind den Preis der DVD wert.
