    Gegen ende der siebziger Jahre brachten die Stones, ausser Some Girls, nicht mehr viel zustande. Da kam das rauhe und erdige Tattoo You gerade richtig. Dieses Album erinnert stark an die früheren Zeiten der Rolling Stones. Erfrischend gradlinig und simpel aufgebaut; gerade das macht's aus..

    Ce cd n'est et de loin pas le meilleur des Stones,peu de chansons sont vraiment dignes d'interêt. Start me up mis à part,aucune de ces chansons ne marque vraiment et ce cd se retrouvera vite dans la catégorie des "pas mal mais à ne pas écouter trop souvent..." ce cd marque la période où les Stones sont en mal d'inspiration et ou l'alcool et la drogue sont à leur consommation maximale...

    Eigentlich gute Songs, aber schade, dass die Platte aus Songs besteht, die unterschiedlich alt sind, denn die Stones hatten Tatoo You damals als neue LP verkauft, obwohl sie aus Songs besteht, die bisher nie veröffentlicht wurden. Übrigens, Start me up entstand eigentlich als Reggae.
    Dadurch, dass die Songs unterschiedlich alt sind, sieht man einfach keinen Faden durch das Album...

    der titeltrack..start me up..ist der höhepunkt dieser scheibe...der rest ist gut.
