Dopo la scoperta della Terra Cava, il mondo non è più lo stesso. Kong ne abita le profondità e cerca altri della sua specie, mentre Godzilla nuota nei mari di superficie sfidando e tenendo a bada gli altri titani in giro per il mondo, per esempio a Roma. Nella Terra Cava però strane scosse turbano tanto Kong quanto l'unica sopravvissuta di Skull Island, la giovane Jia, adottata dalla scienziata Ilene Andrews. Quest'ultima, per comprendere cosa sta succedendo a Jia, si affida al complottista Bernie Hayes e realizza il suo sogno: visitare la Terra Cava. Qui però titanici mostri scorrazzano ovunque, persino le piante sono pericolose e soprattutto qualcosa sembra si stia risvegliando nelle profondità. Una profezia rivelerà che questi eventi sono legati tanto a Godzilla, che infatti inizia a dare la caccia a quanti più nemici possibili per assumerne il potere fino, quanto a Kong e a Jia.

hätte Japan nie verlassen dürfen". Dieser Spruch bewahrheitet sich mit jedem Film den die Amis abliefern mehr.
Dieses Affentheater hier ist ja wohl ausser Emmerichs filmischem Super-Gau der absolute Tiefpunkt der Godzilla-Reihe made in USA.

unglaublich was man den Leuten wieder mal für einen Schwachsinn vorsetzt. Das Ganze gewürzt mit grottenschlechten Effekten, die schon 10 Meilen gegen den Wind nach CGI riechen. Und damit man den Schwachsinn wenigstens zum Teil vermarkten kann, wird der Oskar-Gewinner "Godzilla minus one" boykottiert. Wahrscheinlich hockt Netflix die nächsten Jahre auf den Rechten und der Film, den alle Godzilla Fans wollen wird, falls überhaupt, als Oskar-Gewinner!, erst in ein paar Jahren erhältlich sein. Die Filmbranche kann sich auch selber demontieren...
