Moving back to his native England with American wife Allison (Carrie Coon) and their children (Oona Roche, Charlie Shotwell), Rory O'Hara (Jude Law) has lofty aspirations of a wealthy lifestyle. But he soon finds his world beginning to crumble around him when business deals don't pan out as expected, forcing Rory to maintain an illusion of opulence and creating rifts within the family that may never be repaired.
