Description

Academy Award-winner William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection) directs Al Pacino as an undercover cop pitched into New York's seedy underbelly in Cruising. New York is caught in the grip of a sadistic serial killer who is preying on the patrons of the city's underground bars. Captain Edelson (Paul Sorvino) tasks young rookie Steve Burns (Pacino) with infiltrating the S&M subculture to try and lure the killer out of the shadows - but as he immerses himself deeper and deeper into the underworld, Steve risks losing his own identity in the process. Taking the premise and title from reporter Gerald Walker's novel, Cruising was the subject of great controversy at the time of it's release and remains a challenging and remarkable movie to this day, with Pacino's haunted lead performance as it's magnetic centrepiece.

krasser film ich habe ihn noch original auf vhs!
al pacino ist so jung ist ja auch klar ist aus dem jahr 1980 !! wer den film nicht kennt kaufen oder leihen oder .... !

ein guter film mit al pacino, ist aber nicht der beste.....unbedingt in englisch schauen.....die deutsche synchro, besonders die von pacino selbst, lässt zu wünschen übrig

Wirklich spannender Thriller, Al Pacino spielt hervorragend in Homo-Millieu. Leider ist die Tonqualität nicht gerade besonders.

Pacino wühlt sich als Bulle durch den tiefsten Sumpf der SchwuIen-Sado-Maso-Subkultur um einen Serienkiller zur Strecke zu bringen. Unglaublich bedrückende Atmosphäre und brillant gespielt. Die souveräne Regiearbeit von William (Der Exorzist) Friedkin tut ein übriges. Ein Highlight!

Endlich! Einer der spannensten Thriller überhaupt. Selten gelingt es einem Schauspieler, eine solche Rolle glaubhaft zu meistern. Al Pacino ist es gelungen.
