Ashfaque (Ajay Devgan) dreams of being a star in the Hindi film industry, so he joins a street theatre group to learn the craft. His hard work eventually pays off and he is reborn as 'Sameer Khan' the superstar. Caught up in the adulation and success of his career, Ashfaque soon loses touch with his roots and drifts further away from his wife.
