    Bei diesem Debut-Album von 1984 war der Alt-Saxophonist Kenny Garrett gerade mal 24 Jahre alt und legte eine hervorragende CD vor mit Woody Shaw,Mulgrew Miller,Nat Reeves und Tony Reedus. Sein kraftvolles Spiel zeigte sich schon bei der Miles Davis Group und auf diesem Debut kommt sein Sound voll zur Geltung. Interpretiert werden neben eigenen Titeln auch zwei Standarts "Have You Met Miss Jones" und "Lover".
