This first release from the Claudio Archive marks the beginning of our plans to make available over 1500 Live recording mainly of Concerts within the UK over the past 45 years. Amongst these are some rare gems of previously unheard performances by composers of their own works including Benjamin Britten and Villa Lobos to name a few. There are also interviews given by many famous musicians, composers, broadcasters and musicologist. We hope you will help support our endeavors to realize some of these valuable treasures which with great time an effort we finally hope to make available for your interest and pleasure. On the 27th July 1978 Venezuelan Philharmonic Repertoire Orchestra gave this concert performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London as part of their tour and then disappeared without trace soon after they returned to Venezuela. It was our intention to make this available but due to the lack of funding it has taken some 41 years to finally see the light of day. There were three works but sadly we cannot identify the first, which was a contemporary piece, so we have had to omit it. However, we hope you enjoy the remaining pieces!
