Narrated by Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Green Lantern), The Whale tells the remarkable true story of a young, wild killer whale... an orca nicknamed Luna, who lost contact with his family on the coast of British Columbia and became famous around the world when he tried to make friends with human beings.

In a narrative filled with laughter, amazement, tears and drama, The Whale reveals the mysteries, the dangers - and the gift - of friendship across forbidden boundaries. This acclaimed film celebrates the life of a transcendent being from the other world of the sea who challenged all out preconceptions, from politics to sciences to the spirits, and appeared among us like a promise out of the blue: that the greatest secrets in life are still to be discovered.
